Biography:

Usher was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on October 14, 1978. Usher started singing in the church choir at the age of 6 and at the age of 12, moved to Atlanta with his family. At 14 he was spotted at a talent show by someone from LaFace Records. Eventually the record company signed the young singer while he was still in high school.

In 1994 Usher released his first album, Usher, which was produced by P. Diddy. Usher eventually teamed up with R&B singer Monica on her album for a remake of Let's Straighten It Out. After finishing high school in 1997, Usher released his second album, "My Way". In 1998 Usher was part of an opening act for Janet Jackson's Velvet Rope Tour. In August 2001, Usher released the album 8701.

In March 2004, Usher released his latest album, Confessions. The album has sold more than 2.8 million copies since its debut.
